Our annual Friendship Dinner is an event that is near and dear to us at Sertoma. It is a time to honor our community of Friends and look to make new Friends that will have an opportunity to learn about our over 61 years of service to one of the most vulnerable populations in Knoxville. We also have the honor of announcing our Lifetime of Love Award winners at this event.

On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, Sertoma will hold their annual Friendship Dinner, an evening of fellowship and fun, at The Press Room. The night will be emceed by our beloved and Sertoma board member, Beth Haynes. The featured speaker for the night will be Dr. Danny White, Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics of The University of Tennessee and the conversation will be moderated by WNML sports journalist and broadcaster Jimmy Hyams. 

We are excited to announce our featured speaker will be Dr. Danny White, Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics of The University of Tennessee! Danny White’s innovative and forward thinking approach to the rapidly evolving landscape of intercollegiate athletics primed UT Chancellor Plowman to name him Director of Athletics for UT in 2021. On multiple levels—competitively, academically and philanthropically— Danny White’s first full year on Rocky Top (2021-22) signaled a remarkable resurgence for Tennessee Athletics. Highlights in every sport are too numerous to list, but in total, Tennessee teams have captured six SEC championships since White was named AD.
